About
The Lead Member for Education and Inclusion, Special Educational Needs and Disability is responsible for making decisions on behalf of the Cabinet within their specific portfolio. This role covers strategy and policy for all children's services related to education, including quality and standards in educational establishments, special educational needs, school admissions and transport, early years and childcare, and school organisation. Decisions are made at individual meetings attended by council officers, with other councillors also able to attend. The specific terms of reference are detailed in the Council's Constitution.
