About

The People Scrutiny Committee reviews and scrutinises the council's work in areas related to children's social care, education, and adult social care. It examines the commissioning and delivery of services, safeguarding of vulnerable individuals, and public health initiatives. The committee's remit includes overseeing early years provision, school effectiveness, adult education, and support for carers. It also considers community safety and crime and disorder matters.
