Purpose

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the
following lengths of road to a speed not exceeding 40
mph:

Decision

Temporary 40 mph Speed Limit
Golden Jubilee Way – from the junction with A27 Dittons Road
Roundabout to the junction with B2191 Willingdon Drove.

Hailsham Bypass / Polegate Bypass - from the junction with A22
Boship Roundabout to the junction with U7712 Summerhill.

The Order commences 27 May 2025 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place
from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs between 27 May & 3 October
2025.
