Purpose

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily close the following length of
road;

Decision

Temporary Road Closure
Langney Rise - from the junction with B2104 Hide Hollow roundabout
to the junction with A259 Langney roundabout.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with
an alternative route for through traffic northbound via A259
Langney roundabout, St Anthonys Avenue, Seaside, Seaside roundabout
- A2290 Lottbridge Drove, Birch roundabout, Lottbridge Drove - A22
Lottbridge roundabout, Highfield Link, Shinewater roundabout -
B2191 Willingdon Drove - B2104 Willingdon roundabout, Friday
Street, Hide Hollow roundabout and southbound via B2104 Hide Hollow
roundabout, Friday Street, Willingdon roundabout - B2191 Willingdon
Drove - A22 Shinewater roundabout, Highfield Link - A2290 Highfield
Link - A22 Lottbridge roundabout - A2290 Lottbridge Drove, Birch
roundabout, Lottbridge Drove - A259 Seaside roundabout, Seaside, St
Anthonys Avenue, Langney roundabout.

The Order commences 13 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 13 June
& 16 October 2025, depending upon the weather conditions.
