Purpose

Approval was sought to increase approved spend
on the Real Time Passenger Information contract (subject to receipt
of grant funding) to the maximum contract value available to East
Sussex (50% of the overall joint contract value with Brighton and
Hove City Council) to provide the Council with the ability to
purchase additional hardware during the remainder of the contract
term up to 2033.

Decision

Approval of the allowed for modification to
the Real Time Passenger Information contract to increase the
approved spend to the maximum contract value available to East
Sussex (50% of the overall joint contract value with Brighton and
Hove City Council).

Alternative options considered

The alternative option to not increase the
spend to the maximum available contract value was rejected since
this would mean further RTPI hardware could not be purchased to
maximise the RTPI provision over the course of the
contract.
