Purpose

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the
following length of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph.

Decision

Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit
Batts Bridge Road – from the junction with A22 Batts Bridge
roundabout to the junction with A272 Goldbridge Road.

The Order commences 1 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place
between 1 & 5 September 2025 depending upon the weather
conditions.
