Purpose

Notice is hereby given that East Sussex County
Council have made an Order, coming into operation on 22 September
2025 under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, which will
introduce the following restrictions:-

Decision

Prohibition of Motor Vehicles

Monday – Friday
Between the hours of 8.15am and 8.45am and between the hours of
2.45pm and 3.30pm

Chailey Close its entire length
Redford Close its entire length

The purpose of this Order is to facilitate a Safer School Streets
scheme at Langney Primary School and is the confirmation of The
East Sussex (Eastbourne Borough)(Parking Places, Waiting, No
Stopping and Loading Restrictions) Traffic Regulation Order 2020
Experimental Traffic Regulation Order 2024 (Langney School Street,
Eastbourne).

A copy of the made Order, plans showing the lengths of road and a
statement of the Council’s reason for making the Order
permanent, may be examined in Reception, East Sussex County
Council, County Hall, St Anne’s Crescent, Lewes BN7 1UE
Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm and online at;

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of its
provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers
conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds
that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has
not been complied with in relation to the Order may within six
weeks of the date the Order is made, apply to the High Court for
this purpose.
