Purpose

To allow East Hoathly and Halland Carnival
Society to carry out an event, East Sussex County Council have made
an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict
all traffic using the following length of road to a speed not
exceeding 30 mph:

Decision

Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit
Eastbourne Road / East Hoathly Bypass / South Street – from
the junction with B2192 Lewes Road to the junction with C13 Park
Lane.

The Order commences 8 November 2025 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place
from 17:00hrs to 23:00hrs on 8 November 2025 depending upon the
weather conditions.
