Purpose

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the
following lengths of road to a speed not exceeding 30
mph:

Decision

Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit
Five Ash Down – from the junction with A26 Mill Pond Road to
the junction with U7502 Rocks Lane.

The Order commences 5 January 2026 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place
from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs between 5 & 7 January 2026.
