Purpose
To
consider changes to the process for calculating Spouse Allowances
within financial assessments. The proposed changes will simplify
the process, increase internal efficiency and align East
Sussex’s approach more closely with other local authorities.
If agreed, the changes are expected to impact around 500 adults. To
also consider changes to the application of Savings Credit
Disregard to ensure all who are eligible have this applied within
their financial assessments. If agreed, this could impact around
400 adults.
