Purpose

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of
road;

Decision

Temporary Road Closures
Limes Lane - from the junction with U7504 Framfield Road to the
junction with A272 High Street.
Diversion via U7504 Framfield Road – U7863 Orchard Lane and
vice versa.

Framfield Road - from the junction with A272 High Street to the
junction with U7403 Etchingwood Lane.
Diversion via U7505 Limes Lane – U7863 Orchard Lane and vice
versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 23 February 2026 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 23
February & 2 April 2026 depending upon the weather
conditions.
