Purpose

To allow P J Brown Civil Engineering Ltd to
carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order
under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following
lengths of road;

Decision

Temporary Road Closure
Beechy Road – from the junction with B2192 Lewes Road to the
junction with the U7510 Bushby Lane.
Diversion via B2192 Lewes Road – U7510 Bushby Lane.
The restriction is anticipated to be in place between 25 March
& 15 April 2024.

Hollow Lane - from the junction with U7511 Beechy Road to the
junction with U7669 Hawkhurst Lane.
Diversion via U7669 Hawkhurst Lane - C13 Waldron Road - C59 London
Road - A22 The Shaw Roundabout, Eastbourne Road - B2192 Heathfield
Road, Lewes Road - U7511 Beechy Road and vice versa.
The restriction is anticipated to be in place between 16 & 26
April 2024.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 25 March 2024 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed
above depending upon the weather conditions.
