Purpose

To
provide a progress update of East Sussex County Council’s
Modern Slavery Statement to the Lead Member and to seek his
signature of approval. The 2022/2023 statement relates to the steps
taken by the Council during the financial year 1 April 2022 to 31
March 2023 to mitigate risks of modern slavery within its supply
chains. Performance indicators are being developed as detailed in
the statement and will be used to report on 2023/2024 activity.
