Purpose

To allow Southern Water to carry out works,
East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1)
and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended,
which will temporarily close the following lengths of
road;

Decision

Temporary Road Closures
Netherfield Road / Netherfield Hill - from the junction with U6625
Wattles Wish Road to the junction with B2096 Kane Hythe Road
Diversion via B2096 Kane Hythe Road – A271 North Trade Road
– A2100 London Road – C96 Netherfield Road and vice
versa.

Virgins Lane - from the junction with A2100 London Road to the
junction with C293 Caldbec Hill
Diversion via C293 Caldbec Hill, Mount Street – A2100 High
Street, London Road and vice versa.

Wattles Wish - from the junction with C96 Netherfield Road for its
full extent

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 11 September 2023 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 11
September 2023 & 22 November 2024 depending upon the weather
conditions.
