Purpose

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Decision

Temporary Road Closures
Blackman Avenue / Ironlatch Avenue - from no. 55 to no. 160
Diversion via U3045 Ironlatch Avenue - B2092 Crowhurst Road - U3050 Church Wood Drive, Marline Road and vice versa.

Church Wood Drive / Marline Road - from Hollington skatepark to the junction with U3057 Quebec Road
Diversion via U3050 Church Wood Drive – B2092 Crowhurst Road - U3045 Ironlatch Avenue, Blackman Avenue - U3050 Marline Road and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 28 August 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 August & 17 November 2023 depending upon the weather conditions.
