Purpose

In order to spend the DfT funding, granted to
TfSE, within the timescales given and to ease pressure on the
procurement team, it was agreed to obtain a technical call off
contract to deliver our technical programme. Due to the level of
spend this contract will incur, it needed to be agreed by the
Director.

Decision

The Director has approved the contract award
for the Transport for the South East technical call off contract,
which will allow for the delivery of the technical
programme.

Alternative options considered

Continuation with the current situation of
procuring each piece of work individually was considered, which
would increase pressure on the procurement team and the TfSE
team.
