Purpose

A tender process for the works concluded and
this decision allows the Contract to be awarded for the project to
proceed to delivery.

Decision

A decision was required to enter into a
building contract with a Contractor. The capital project seeks to
extend the Sorrel Drive Children’s Resource Centre and carry
out further internal alterations in support of children’s day
and residential respite care facilities. Funding has been allocated
in the Capital Programme to deliver this scheme. A tender process
has now been concluded and PH Beck has been appointed as the
recommended contractor. The anticipated start date is early
September 2023 with a completion date in January 2024. Planning
permission has been granted.
