Purpose

To reduce hazards to road users whilst
awaiting carriageway repairs, East Sussex County Council have made
an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict
all traffic using the following lengths of road to a speed not
exceeding 40 mph:-

Decision

Temporary 40 mph Speed Limit
Combe Valley Way - through the 60mph section, a distance of 1930
metres

The Order commences 1 August 2023 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place
between 1 & 31 August 2023.
