Purpose
To allow South East Water to carry out works,
East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1)
and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended,
which will temporarily close the following length of
road;
Decision
Temporary Road Closure
The Toll / Pound Green - from the junction with C270 Five Chimneys
Lane to the junction with U7903 Howbourne Lane
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with
an alternative route for through traffic via A272 Pound Green -
High Street - Station Road - Buxted Road - Budletts Lane –
A26 Uckfield bypass – A22 Uckfield bypass - Eastbourne Road
– B2192 Lewes Road – A267 Mayfield Road - Heathfield
Road – A272 Summer Hill - Main Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 3 July 2023 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 3 &
7 July 2023 depending upon the weather conditions.
