Purpose
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex
County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will
temporarily close the following length of road;
Decision
Temporary Road Closure
Cottage Hill / Five Ashes Road – from the junction with U7571
Rotherhurst Lane to Kingsbury House
Diversion via A267 Mayfield Road – Wellbrook - Mayfield
bypass - Argos Hill – B2101 Bicycle Arms Road - High Cross
and vice versa.
Castle Hill - from the junction with C12 Fives Ashes Road to Castle
Hill House
Diversion via C209 Castle Hill - Willinghurst Lane - Stonehurst
Lane - Waghorns Lane - School Lane – A272 Main Road - Summer
Hill – A267 Mayfield Road – C12 Horleigh Green Road -
Five Ashes Road and vice versa.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commenced 23 November 2022 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 19 June
& 21 July 2023 depending upon the weather conditions.
