Purpose
To allow Hutchison 3G Ltd to carry out works,
East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1)
and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended,
which will temporarily impose the following restrictions;
Decision
Temporary One Way Traffic
Upperton Road - restricting traffic from travelling northwards from
A259 Southfields roundabout to the junction with A2040 The
Avenue
Temporary Footway Closure
Upperton Road – southern side - from A259 Southfields
roundabout to the junction with A2040 The Avenue
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with
an alternative route for through traffic via A259 Upperton Road -
The Goffs - U2037 Southfields Road – A259 Station roundabout
- Terminus Road - Ashford Road - U2149 Ashford Road - U2146
Cavendish Place - Upper Avenue - A2040 Upper Avenue - The
Avenue.
The Order commences 16 June 2023 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 16 & 17
June 2023 depending upon the weather conditions.
