Purpose

Notice is hereby given that East Sussex County Council have made the above Order, on 24 July 2026, under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers which will introduce new or revise the existing parking, waiting and loading restrictions along the following lengths of road:-

Changes to Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time - Cooden Drive Bexhill, Egerton Road Bexhill, Harbour Road Rye, Magdalen Road Bexhill, North Trade Road Battle, Station Road Hurst Green, Station Road Robertsbridge

Changes to Time Limited Mon to Sat 9am-5pm maximum stay 1 hour no return within 1 hour – Station Road Robertsbridge

Changes to Time Limited 8am-6pm maximum stay 2 hours no return within 2 hours – Parkhurst Road Bexhill

Changes to Permit Holder or Time Limited 8am-6pm maximum stay 2 hours no return within 2 hours – Magdalen Road Bexhill

A copy of the Order, plans showing the lengths of road and a statement of the Council’s reasons for the Order along with a copy of the Order being amended can be viewed in Reception, East Sussex County Council, County Hall, St. Anne’s Crescent, Lewes BN7 1UE on Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm or online at https://consultation.eastsussex.gov.uk/economy-transport-environment/rother-3-formal

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act of 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Road Traffic Regulation Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks of the date the Order is made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
