Purpose

The decision was required to confirm award of
the contract to a building contractor following the completion of a
thorough design, and procurement process. The decision will allow
the contractor to complete the rebuilding of the Heathfield Youth
Hub. Planning permission has also been granted and funding
secured.

Decision

Chief Officer approved the appointed of the
main contractor under a Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) traditional
form of contract for Heathfield Youth Hub.

The contractor has been selected through the East Sussex County
Council (ESCC) procurement process achieving best value for money
for ESCC to enable the project to complete by March 2025.

This project is funded by an external source with the requirement
for work to be completed by the end of March 2025. The programme is
in line with this requirement.
