Purpose

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Decision

Temporary Road Closures
All Saints Street - from the junction with U3214 Harold Road to the junction with U3212 Rock-A-Nore Road.
Diversion via U3212 Rock-A-Nore Road – A259 East Beach Street, The Bourne - U3214 Harold Road and vice versa.

Courthouse Street - from the junction with U3214 All Saints Street to the junction with A259 The Bourne.
Diversion via A259 The Bourne - U3214 Harold Road, All Saints Street.

To maintain access a suspension of one-way traffic on All Saints Street will be in place (revert to two-way traffic), during this scheme of works.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic set out above.

The Order commences 21 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 21 September & 16 November 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.
