Purpose

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following lengths of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:

Decision

Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit
Burwash Road – from the junction with C406 Halley Road to the junction with A265 Heathfield Road.

The Order commences 17 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place between 17 & 19 August 2026.
