Purpose

To consider
investing an additional £1.0m in carriageway patching. The
Council’s budget for patching is approximately £1.0m per
annum and is used to maintain those sections of road that require
greater intervention than pothole repairs as well as address those
potholes and defects that don’t meet the Council’s
intervention criteria for repair from the revenue budget. There is
currently a backlog of patching equating to approximately
£3.0m.
