Purpose
To allow ALS Civil Engineering Ltd to carry
out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under
Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using
the following lengths of road to a speed not exceeding 40 and 30
mph:-

A271 Kitchenham Road, Ashburnham & Catsfield from a point 200
metres west of the junction with B2204 westwards for a distance of
300 metres
A271 Beechdown Wood, Ashburnham & Catsfield from a point 200
metres east of the junction with B2204 eastwards for a distance of
240 metres
B2204 Tellis Coppice, Ashburnham & Catsfield from a point 150
metres south of the junction with A271 southwards for a distance of
300 metres
30 mph Speed Limit
A271 Kitchenham Road / Beechdown Wood, Ashburnham & Catsfield
200 metres either side of the junction with B2204
B2204 Tellis Coppice, Ashburnham & Catsfield from the junction
with the A271 for a distance of 150 meters
The Order commences 9 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place
between 9 & 17 September 2024.
