Purpose

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex
County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will
temporarily close the following length of road;

Decision

Temporary Road Closure
Whitebread Lane – from the junction with U6631 Quickbourne
Lane to the junction with U6415 Stoddards Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with
an alternative route for through traffic via A268 Whitebread Lane -
A28 Station Road, Main Street - B2088 Rye Road, Northiam Road, Main
Street - A268 Peasmarsh Road, Whitebread Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 9 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 9 October
2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
