About

The Appointments Panel, composed of two members from each statutory Political Group on Epping Forest Council, makes recommendations for various council appointments. It proposes nominations for the Leader, Deputy Leader, Cabinet members, chairs and memberships of committees, sub-committees, panels, boards, working groups, and external body appointments. The panel ensures nominations reflect the statutory pro-rata entitlement of each political group and considers nominations from non-affiliated members. It also aims for an equitable allocation of chairmanships and vice-chairmanships and circulates recommended appointments to all members before the council meeting.
