Purpose

To agree a change to the
Council's Pension Discretions policy to allow a shared cost AVC
scheme.

Content

(1)        To approve an
amendment to the Council’s Local Government Pension Scheme
(LGPS) - Discretions Policy Statement to permit a Shared Cost
Additional Voluntary Contribution arrangement; and
 
(2)        Award the
contract to My Money Matters for the provision of this service via
a direct award through the Salary Sacrifice AVC framework which
enables UK local government and wider public sector customers to
enter a contract with My Money Matters. This is a single supplier
framework which allows the council to award a call-off contract
without competition.
