Purpose

To consider the draft
management plan for the community impact fund

Content

(1)        That the
Cabinet approved the creation of a Community Fund as referred to in
the Executive Summary to this report.
 

(2)        That the
Cabinet approved the appointment by the Leader of a Grants Panel
made up of the Leader, the Portfolio Holder for Economic
Development and other representatives as referred to in this report
to assess applications from the Community Fund.
 

(3)        That the
Cabinet delegated authority for approval of grants from the
Community Fund, (and in the case of recommendations to GIL approval
of grants exceeding £15,000) to the Portfolio Holder for
Economic Development, taking into
account recommendations of the Grants Panel, and in
accordance with grant conditions.
 

(4)        That the
Cabinet agreed there should be quarterly meetings of the Grants
Panel to assess applications, prior to any decision of the
Portfolio Holder for Economic Development.
 
(5)        That the
Cabinet approved the recruitment of Community Grants
Officer.
