Purpose

This
report and Policy bring together the decision making and processes
for agreeing decants where residents of HRA properties are unable to remain in situ when
works are required.

Content

(1)       
That the Cabinet agreed the Housing Decant Policy (Temporary and
Permanent) at Appendix 1 to this report.
 

(2)       
That the Cabinet agreed that the Portfolio Holder with
responsibility for Housing reviews the Policy after two years, and
that the Portfolio Holder considers whether as part of the review
it would be appropriate for the Policy to be further considered by
the Communities Scrutiny Committee prior to any changes.
 

(3)       
That the Cabinet delegated authority to the Director for Housing
and Property to agree minor changes to the Decant Policy (Temporary
and Permanent) in consultation with the Portfolio Holder with
responsibility for Housing.
