MTFP Update and Budget Setting
2026/27

Content

(1)       
That the Cabinet considered and reviewed the draft General Fund
revenue budget (Appendix A) proposals for 2026/27, and the
Medium-Term Financial Plan including details of savings proposals
(Appendix B) and budget cost pressures (Appendix C).
 

(2)       
That the Cabinet considered the draft Housing Revenue Account (HRA)
revenue budget proposals for 2026/27 (Appendix E), 30 Year Business
Plan and Medium-Term Financial Plan.
 

(3)       
That the Cabinet considered the draft General Fund and HRA capital
proposals for 2026/27 through to 2028/29 (Appendix F and G).
 

(4)       
That the Cabinet considered the draft Fees and Charges proposals
for 2026/27 (Appendix H).
 

(5)       
That Cabinet discussed but did not agree any further actions to
address the remaining underlying budget deficit in order to set a
balanced – and sustainable – budget for 2026/27.
