Purpose

Report for the ending of 10 year fixed term tenancies within the Councils HRA stock.

Decision

(1)        That the Cabinet approved the discontinuation of 10-year fixed-term tenancies for all new general-needs lettings.

(2)        That the Cabinet approved the transition of existing fixed-term tenants to secure lifetime tenancies at their next review point.

(3)        That the Cabinet delegated authority to the Service Director of Housing & Property Services to update procedures and policy documentation accordingly.
