Purpose

The Community Assets Management Policy sets out the Council’s approach to transferring Council owned community assets to Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise organisations (VCSE). organisations. It provides a clear and robust framework to ensure that decisions are taken in a consistent, fair and transparent manner, and that, where appropriate, assets can be used to deliver demonstrable benefits for residents, communities and the Council.

Decision

That Cabinet approved and adopted the Community Asset Management Policy and Process outlined in Appendix 1 and Appendix 2 of the agenda report.
