Purpose

This report seeks approval of a Local Lettings Plan for Springwood Grove, Epping. The proposal applies to a maximum of 20% of the 45 new social rent homes on first letting only and is designed to provide targeted support to key workers, particularly those employed in or serving Epping Town, whilst ensuring the majority of homes remain available to households with the highest assessed housing need through the Housing Allocations Scheme.

Decision

1. To approve the Local Lettings Plan for Springwood Grove (Appendix 1) pursuant to section 4.1 of the Housing Allocations Scheme 2022-2027.
2. To confirm that the Local Lettings Plan shall apply to a maximum of 20% of homes at Springwood Grove on first letting only, with all subsequent lettings made in accordance with the Housing Allocations Scheme 2022-2027.
3. To authorise publication and implementation of the Local Lettings Plan.
