About

The Licensing (General) Sub-Committee determines opposed and contentious applications for various licences and permits within Epsom and Ewell Borough Council. This includes gaming permits, sex establishment licences, and private hire and hackney carriage licences. It also handles opposed applications for pavement licensing, hypnotism, zoo licensing, dog breeding/boarding, scrap metal dealing, and charity street collections. Public questions and statements are not permitted at its meetings. The sub-committee comprises three trained councillors selected for each hearing.
