Purpose

Following procurement, this report seeks authority to award
a contract for the operator of Solent Airport Daedalus and delegated authority
to agree the final terms, following consultation with the Executive Member for
Policy and Resources.

Decision

RESOLVED that the Executive agrees: -

 

Part 1: Solent Airport
Operator Contract

 

(a)  to award
the contract, as set out in Confidential Appendix A, being the most
advantageous tender received;

 

(b)  that
authority be delegated to the Director of Planning and Regeneration to agree
the final terms of the contract with the preferred tenderer;

 

(c)  that
authority be delegated to the Director of Planning and Regeneration to extend
the contract (once awarded) on up to two occasions as noted;

 

Part 2: Solent Airport
Pavement Repairs

 

(d)  to
approve a capital budget of £670,000 to fund pavement repairs at Solent
Airport, Daedalus; and

 

(e) 
that authority be delegated to the Director of
Planning and Regeneration to award the contract for the pavement repairs once a
competitive tender process has been completed.
