Purpose

To update the Executive on the outcome of the Fareham
Borough Council Domestic Abuse Policy and seek approval for adoption.

 

At its meeting on 7 July 2025, the Executive approved the
policy for six weeks public consultation.    The
report summarises the outcome of the consultation and requests the
adoption of the policy.

Decision

RESOLVED that the Executive:

 

(a)  notes
the outcome of the consultation;

 

(b)  agrees
that the Fareham Borough Council Domestic Abuse Policy, as attached at Appendix
A to the report, be adopted; and

 

(c)  agrees
to delegate authority to make minor amendments needed, such as in response to
future updates to Government guidance or corrections, to the Director of
Housing and Health, following consultation with the Executive Member for
Housing.
