Purpose
To seek Executive approval for the draft
Fareham Housing Damp and Mould Policy to go forward for six weeks public
consultation.
To seek Executive approval of the revised Fareham
Housing Repairs Policy to align with the timescales in the new draft Fareham
Housing Damp and Mould Policy.
The report details the legislation around
treatment of damp and mould in social housing.
It outlines the contents of the Fareham Housing Damp and Mould Policy
and the associated updates required to the existing Repairs Policy.
Approval is sought for a six-week period of
public consultation to be undertaken prior to the Damp and Mould Policy
returning to the Executive for formal adoption.
An ‘easy read’ document accompanies the Policy and will form part of the
consultation. This is to ensure the key
points can be communicated effectively to the Council’s social housing
tenants.
