Purpose

The purpose of Fareham Housing is to provide
more of the ‘right affordable housing in the right place’.  The Affordable Housing Strategy sets out how
we meet this purpose through three priorities and details the actions we have
committed to.  The Affordable Housing
Strategy was last approved at the Executive meeting on 7 October 2019. Since
its adoption, many actions of this iteration of the Strategy have been
fulfilled.  Changes in legislation and
the introduction of Consumer Standards have also changed the approach to how we
deliver our services.

The
Executive is invited to approve the draft Fareham Housing Affordable Housing
Strategy for consultation and approve delegated authority to the Director of
Housing, following consultation with the Executive Member for Housing, to make
any minor changes to the Strategy prior to public consultation.
