Appointments Panel

The Appointments Panel is responsible for considering the appointment or dismissal of senior council officers, including the Head of Paid Service, Chief Officers, and Directors. It also handles disciplinary matters and appeals for these senior roles, as well as employment-related issues and grievances concerning the Chief Executive. The appointment of the Chief Executive specifically requires confirmation by the Full Council.
