Licensing Committee

The Licensing Committee is responsible for overseeing various licensing matters within Fenland, including taxis, gaming, entertainment, food and alcohol sales, market and street trading, and other miscellaneous licenses. Following the Licensing Act 2003, it now also handles liquor licensing, reforming arrangements for alcohol, public entertainment, cinemas, theatres, and late-night refreshments. The committee's decisions are guided by four key licensing objectives: preventing crime and disorder, ensuring public safety, preventing public nuisance, and protecting children from harm.
