The Overview and Scrutiny Panel is a statutory function of Fenland District Council, established under the Local Government Act 2000. It holds the Council's Cabinet to account for its decisions, monitors progress on corporate priorities, and contributes to policy development. The Panel's remit covers all statutory scrutiny functions, and its members cannot be part of the Cabinet. It typically meets every six weeks.
