Purpose

To approve the purchase of gym equipment per FDC approved capital programme.

As part of the December 2018 contract with Freedom Leisure, FDC has an obligation to replace cardiovascular (CV) gym equipment & spinning bikes every 5 years.  This is the first replacement of the equipment since the contract commenced.

Decision

To purchase the gym equipment from Pulse Fitness specified within the procurement process.

Reasons for the decision

Following a comprehensive procurement process, undertaken through the ESPO framework, Pulse have won the competition to supply gym equipment as follows;

Chatteris;                £  85,453.91

George Cambpell;   £  97,565.51

Manor;                    £101,311.05

Hudson;                  £100,955.36

          Total:           £385,255.83

Not applicable – procurement competition has ensured best value.
