Purpose

To receive a recommendation from Culture Committee to create a Culture Fund Phase 3 to provide small grants funding for individuals, groups or organisations to deliver arts, heritage and culture events and activities across Fenland and to decide whether to agree to the recommendation.

Decision

AGREED that:

·       a Culture Fund Phase 3 be created;

·       the total funding pot be £40,000;

·       the budget for each of the Four Seasons events in the Market Towns be £4,000 each to come from the total funding pot and to be used for cultural activities only; and

·       delegation be given to the Leader and Chief Finance Officer how the project will be funded and delegation be made to officers and the Portfolio Holder for Culture to deliver the project, including funding and judging criteria and any other matters to distribute the funding.
