To clarify the procedure when a Leader
resigns

Content

RESOLVED:

 

That the Constitution is amended in accordance with
the report to require a

new Leader to be appointed either:

 

(a)      Aat the next available
County Council meeting whenever the office falls vacant,
or

 
(b)     
Immediately after the Leader is removed by a motion on notice;
and
 

(c)      That the Leader will hold
office until they are unable to perform the duties and
responsibilities of Leader due to incapacitation whether through
illness; injury or some other reason, for a period of 6 months or
more.
