Purpose

To update Members
on the current unpaid carers services in Flintshire including the
outcome of the recent procurement exercise and review by the
Ombudsman.

Content

(a)       That
the Committee acknowledged the update on the process of
recommissioning unpaid carers services;

(b)       That
the Committee acknowledged the outcome of the PSOW’s
“Own Initiative” Investigation into Carers Services and
the resulting action plan;
 

(c)       
That the Committee acknowledged the outcome of the Carers Wales
“Track the       Act” Report;
and
 

(d)       That
the Committee endorsed the positive work underway with NEWCIS to
develop the unpaid carer services and the Carers Centre as a hub
for unpaid carers in Flintshire.
