Purpose

To present the
first North Wales Regional Armed Forces Covenant Partnership Annual
Report 2024 and seek support for the re-signing of the Armed Forces
Covenant.

Content

(a)       That the content of
the Regional Armed Forces Covenant Annual Report 2024 be endorsed,
and the progress that has been made during the period, prior to
approval by Flintshire County Council in July 2025 be
recognised;
 
(b)       That it be noted
that the Council has recently been re-accredited with the Ministry
of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award and support
the Council’s Armed Forces Champion, Councillor David Evans,
in being presented with this award at full Council; and
 
(c)        That Cabinet
continue to support the Armed Forces Covenant by agreeing to the
re-signing of the Armed Forces Covenant by Flintshire County
Council at their meeting on 2nd July 2025.
