Purpose

To consider the outcomes of public and
stakeholder consultation with respect to the introduction of
Additional House in Multiple Occupation (HMO’s); and to
approve the commencement of an Additional Licensing scheme for the
county as a whole.

Content

(a)       That Cabinet
considered the outcomes of the public consultation with respect to
Additional Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) Licensing for
Flintshire;
 

(b)       That
Cabinet approve the commencement of Additional Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) Licencing for
Flintshire by designating the area of Flintshire County as being
subject to additional licencing in relation to HMOs that meet the
criteria set out the report; and
 

(c)       
That delegate authority be given to the Chief Officer to issue
licences to Additional Houses in Multiple Occupation
(HMO’s) in accordance with the necessary legal
requirements laid out in the Housing Act 2004.
